Labor Day weekend was Gold Rush Days in Old Sacramento. More than 200 tons of dirt was dumped onto the streets transforming Sacramento's historic district into a svene straight out of the 1850's. Hundreds of costumed performers took on the roles of celebrities, personalities and just plain folks, bringing history to life while bluegrass pickers and old-timey musicians performed on several stages, evoking the vivid tunes of the times.
I was sweating just looking at all of the actors in wool pants and coats and full length shirts and skirts...no thanks!
baby missed the whole thing....such a sleepy boy.

What a fun event. Have they always done it and we've missed it all these years? By the way, you look beautiful. You don't even look tired....that Easton must be a good sleeper. :)
